About the role

What is this, exactly?

Dream Life Getaway runs women's trips to Morocco, Sri Lanka and the Philippines  (7 to 9 nights), once or twice a month, with guests joining from all over the world. We're looking for English-speaking, social, female hosts to run these trips on location.

Here's the thing: we're not looking for a tour guide. We're looking for a bestie who also happens to be great at logistics. You'll join every activity, are great at starting conversations, and bring the energy when it's needed. You're the face of Dream Life Getaway on the ground.

We already have local accommodations, taxi partners, house managers and surf shops in place, they handle a lot of the operational side. You handle the social side and make sure timing goes well in between operations. You're the one who makes the trip feel like that trip the girls talk about for years.

 

Our DLG team is remote. On location, you host solo, but you're never truly alone. You'll be supported by our team remotely and during your trips, you'll always have a house manager and a full house of girls around you!

Your responsibilities

​

  • Doing a pre-trip check-in with the group, introducing yourself and building excitement before the girls even arrive

  • Welcoming guests and making them feel at home from day one

  • ​Making sure every girl feels included throughout the week — keeping an eye on quieter guests and making sure nobody gets left behind socially

  • Spending the full trip with your group of girls, you join in on surf lessons, yoga lessons, cooking classes, dinners, lunches and everything else. Professionals cater most of these activities.

  • You host the welcome circle, cacao ceremony, visionboard night, game and movie night and start meaningful conversations with our conversation cards.

  • Keeping the group on schedule (getting everyone to surf on time, to lunch, to the next activity, without it feeling like herding cats lol)

  • Being active and responsive in our DLG WhatsApp group chats, both the trip chat and our main community chat

  • Selling DLG merch on location and keeping track of stock and admin

  • Capturing aesthetic photos and videos throughout the trip

  • Posting daily stories while on the trip

  • Creating a minimum of 3 TikTok trends per trip (formats provided by our social team)

  • Managing your own admin: emails, planning updates and excel sheets

  • Communicating with the house manager regarding taxis, allergies and any practical needs

  • Communicating with surf schools regarding the surf levels of the girls, based on pre-trip surveys

  • Communication with other local partners 

  • Taking responsibility for adjusting the itinerary when needed due to weather changes or local cultural or political events

  • Handling small emergencies calmly, whether that's a girl feeling sick, a scheduling issue or an unexpected situation, you're the first point of contact on the ground

  • Working independently, you'll have support from the team remotely, but on location you're the one making it happen

  • Actively asking guests for feedback during and after the trip, and encouraging them to leave a Google review

  • Being the eyes and ears of DLG on the ground, if something can be done better, we want to hear it. We expect our hosts to be proactive in sharing feedback with the team so we can keep improving

  • Doing a proper handover after each trip, notes on what went well, what didn't, guest feedback and anything the team should know for next time

  • Making girls aware of and helping sell upcoming DLG trips during the week, you're naturally the best person to get them excited about coming back

  • ​Getting to know the local area well enough to give girls recommendations — restaurants, day trips, local spots, things to do between activities

Requirements

  • You're a woman between 22–29 years old

  • You're social, outgoing and comfortable leading a group,  you love deep conversations, listening and a good yap session! 

  • You're organized and can stay on top of emails, Excel sheets and WhatsApp messages

  • You're a great communicator and fluent in English

  • You know how to capture aesthetic content from your phone (photos and video)

  • You're available for 7–9 nights per trip, roughly once or twice a month

  • You're comfortable working independently on location

  • You're willing to base yourself in one of our destinations for 3–6 months or you already live in the area

  • You can start mid-September 2026 or later

  • You're in for at least 6 months or more

Non requirements, but you're extra cool if...

  • You have experience in community hosting, hospitality or events

  • You're a type-A girly who loves project management

  • You see yourself growing with DLG long-term

  • You have surfing experience 

  • You have yoga experience

  • You know our small surf towns like the back of your hand

This position is not for you if...

  • You're on a 3-month summer break looking for a fun travel experience without much commitment. This is a real job with real responsibility, if you're looking to have fun for a short period abroad, a volunteer hostel position might be a better fit for right now.

  • You need a lot of alone time. You won't have much during the trip. You make long days working from 8am sometimes till night. Yes, work is laying on the beach and surfing and exploring. But it's always with our guests. If you know you need you're alone time within a span of a week, this might not be your ideal job.

  • You're not planning to stay for at least 3-6 months. We invest in our hosts and we need people who are in it with us, not just passing through. Our hosts know the area, understand the local culture and can bring that knowledge to the group. You don't need to be an expert on day one, but you need to want to learn and share.

  • You're a great yapper but not a great listener. We love outgoing energy, but hosting requires also depth, knowing when to ask the right question, when to sit in silence, when to give a warm hug and when to bring up the harder topics.

  • You freeze when a group goes quiet. Part of the job is reading the room and knowing how to bring energy back, restart a conversation or shift the vibe, without it feeling forced.

  • You struggle to work alone. On location, you're the one making decisions, solving small problems and keeping things running, without a manager standing next to you. Offcourse there is a house manager and the Dream Life Getaway team remote, but you're the main one responsible during this trip.

  • You need a lot of external validation or reassurance to feel confident. Some trips flow effortlessly, others need more from you. You need to be able to hold your ground either way.

  • You panic under pressure. Things happen on trips, a guest might get food poisoning, twist an ankle or have a hard emotional moment. You need to be the calm one in the room, know how to handle it practically and make sure everyone feels safe and taken care of.

What we offer

  • Accomodation in stunning locations You'll stay in the trip accommodation for the full duration of every trip, no extra costs. If you live in the area and would prefer to stay at your own apartment, that is something we can consider! Outside of the trips, you’ll arrange your own accommodation, but we definitely have some fun and affordable recommendations. Rent for a month can be as low as €350–400, even right by the beach.

  • All meals that are including in the trip are covered while you're hosting, plus you receive a €100 food allowance per trip for your own lunches and dinners outside of the trip schedule.

  • Your pay is per trip and increases with every two trips you host with us. Here's an overview of the ranges:

    • Experience.            Pay per trip

      • Trips 1–2          €500 – €700

      • Trips 3–6          €700 – €900

      • Trips 7–12        €900 – €1,100

      • Trips 13+          €1,000 – €1,200

      • Your exact pay within each range depends on your background and experience. The more you grow with us, the more you earn.

  • Real experience in retreat & group hosting This role gives you hands-on experience running women's retreats and group trips, the kind of thing you can't learn in a classroom. Whether you want to build a career in hospitality, travel or community, this is the kind of experience that opens doors.

  • See the world. If you love what you do and want to keep going, there's the possibility to host across multiple destinations, Morocco, Sri Lanka and the Philippines. The longer you stay, the more of the world you get to call your office.

Freelance, travel, work on your own creative projects, grow your social media, we don't care, as long as you show up fully when you're on. We also have additional remote opportunities available in customer service and application calls for girls who want to stay more involved between trips.

The details

  • This is a freelance contract, you'll invoice us per trip

  • The position is for a minimum of 6 months, but the longer you want to stay, the more we love it, we genuinely want to build with people who are invested in DLG's growth

  • You'll be based in one destination for a season of roughly 3 months (or longer if you'd want to / are living there) 

  • If you don't live in the surf town; inbetween trips, you're free to travel or go back home, travel costs between trips are at your own expense

  • Flights to your destination are not covered and are your own responsibility

  • You are welcome to work on other freelance projects or jobs between trips, and you may work at other retreats, however, you may not run your own girls' group trips or retreats while working with us, or within one year of ending your contract with DLG

  • Start date: mid 2026 or later
