Meet your new Morocco trip hosts: Roos & Joucke

The DLG family is growing and we couldn’t be more excited to finally share the news with you!! Starting this season, two amazing women will be joining our team as your new hosts for our Morocco girls trips: Roos and Joucke. Both of them are living full-time in Morocco, surfing waves & building their lives under the Moroccon sun, and from now on both of them will be joining us on and hosting our girl trips.

You’ll get to know them offc while in Morocco, but for now let’s do a little introduction on here;

Roos

Born and raised by the sea in the Netherlands, Roos grew up with a love for the ocean. She studied psychology, but deep down she knew early on that her path wasn’t the traditional kind. After traveling through Central America, she fell in love with surfing. Back in the Netherlands, she started working in the surf therapy space, where she got to improve people’s mental health and lives through ocean-based sessions. She realized what she really wanted: a life built around connection, water, and freedom.

That realization led her to Morocco, where she instantly felt a pull, not just from the stunning waves and fun surf towns, but also from a certain local surfer who she soon fell in love with. Since then, she’s been building her life here in Morocco: surfing, running, working remotely, and soaking up the magic of living a slow life by the sea. She's an Aquarius through and through, dreams big, free-spirited, and a bubbly & social butterfly who loves light and deep chats. When she’s not catching waves, you’ll find her taking photos and videos of Morocco’s beauty, going for a run on the beach or learning how to cook a traditional tajine.

Joucke

Also from the Netherlands, but from a small southern town, Joucke took a different path. After studying international business and living abroad in Stockholm, she soon realized she didn’t want a traditional career in an office. So she took her job as a recruiter on the road, working remotely while traveling across Asia and doing van life all over Europe.

Eventually, the journey with her van led her to Morocco, where her life changed for the better. A slower pace, the food, the surf, the culture, and yes, her Moroccan boyfriend. She’s now living full-time on the coast, splitting her days between longboarding, practicing yoga, crossfit, and living a life on her own terms. She’s a Leo and a girls’ girl, so expect warmth, strength, laughter and good vibes, and she is always the first to cheer you on.

From coffee dates and friends to co-hosts

Roos, Joucke and Mascha (founder of DLG) all met in Tamraght, the little Moroccan surf town in which our Dream Life Getaway Moroccon girl trips are based. And as DLG connects women all over the world, the same happened here, it found a way of bringing us three girls together at the right time. After lots of coffee dates, girl dinners, deep chats, and laughter-filled hangouts, it became clear: this wasn’t just a friendship. It was a shared vision.

All three women are building lives outside the lines, living abroad, working remotely, creating community, and choosing presence over societies pressure. It felt natural (and exciting!) to start working together. That’s why we’re so thrilled to announce that both Roos and Joucke will be officially hosting our Morocco girls trips moving forward.

So if you’ve been dreaming about joining us in Morocco, now’s the time. Whether it’s your first wave or your fiftieth, we promise: you’ll be in the best hands. With Roos and Joucke guiding the way, our Morocco girl trips are truly in amazing hands ensuring a stunning trip fully embracing slow living, real sisterhood, and soulful connections.
