Morocco for every type of girl: all of our favorite things to do on the Moroccan coast

Updated: Feb 5

One thing we’ve learned through hosting trips, traveling with our girls, and listening to countless stories around breakfast tables and bonfires is this: there is not ONE way to experience Morocco.

When people think of Morocco’s coast, they usually picture surf. And honestly, that makes sense, surf is everywhere here. And don’t get us wrong, the surf here is amazing and we love it. The waves, the stoke, the way everything revolves around the ocean… it’s such a huge part of daily life and a big reason people fall in love with this coast in the first place (including me!).

But it’s not the whole story.

Morocco’s coast has this special way of giving every girl something she didn’t even know she needed, it’s not just for the surfer girls. And when we look back on the week, whether it’s the big highlights or the little moments that surprised us most, one thing always stands out. Everyone falls in love with something different.

The adventurer

Some girls come for the thrill of it all, and honestly, it delivers. It’s getting out of your comfort zone in every way, whether that means surfing in the ocean, surfing down the sand dunes, or exploring local canyons and realizing you’re braver than you thought.

The small moment appreciater

Other girls are surprised by how much they love the quieter moments. Journalling on the rooftop before everyone wakes up. Long dinners that turn into “wait… how is it already this late?” because the conversation is too good to end. Wandering through town with no plan. Long walks to the beach just to breathe and talk and be.

Sometimes it’s the simplest moments that become the most unforgettable, like ending the night around a bonfire, wrapped in a hoodie, laughing with girls who were strangers a few days ago. Honestly, sitting around a bonfire is one of those fulfilling your inner child moments. Eating pizza with sandy hands, getting completely covered in sand, running around the beach like you’re twelve again, and not caring what you look like. It’s not exactly your typical girls night, but it’s the kind of fun you don’t realize you’ve been missing until you’re in it.

The new yogi

For some girls, it’s the mornings in Morocco that completely change everything. Waking up and doing yoga outside, before the day even starts, feels good. You literally just walk upstairs, still half asleep, and suddenly you’re looking at the most breathtaking sunrise over the coast. It’s one of those highs you don’t even realize you’re going to remember forever, but you do. And honestly, it’s the kind of feeling you end up chasing long after you’r

e home (although the indoor yoga studio at home is simply not the same).

The foodie

For the foodies, it’s all about the local dishes, rich flavours and the stories behind them. Joining a cooking class, learning directly from locals, seeing the behind the scenes of how the most incredible food is made. Wandering markets, tasting as you go, then sitting down together to share it all. Every meal feels like an experience.

The coffee shop hopper

Then there are the slower days. The ones with no schedule. Café hopping with no real plan. Moving between little coffee spots (and yes, a few old car cafés too). Sitting for hours with a journal or a book, or just watching life pass by. And honestly, a lot of girls say at the end of the week that those days, the ones where nothing big happened, ended up being their favourite.

The shopper

And then there are the girls who LOVE to shop. The markets in Morocco are dangerous in the best way. You wander just to look and suddenly you’re stopping every two steps because something else catches your eye. Ceramics, baskets, jewelry, spices, vintage pieces you didn’t know you needed until that exact moment. You tell yourself you’re being responsible and then somehow you’re like… okay wait, do I need a second suitcase? Guilty.

The artsy girl

For some girls, it’s the creativity that really sticks. After walking through stalls filled with handmade pieces, you start thinking, wait… I want to try this too. Joining a ceramics or art class, making something with your own hands, and bringing home a one of one souvenir from Morocco. Not bought, but created.

The wellness queen

And for others, it’s the local spa hammam experience. One of those places where you fully switch off and think, wow, I didn’t realize how much I needed this. It’s easily one of the most beautiful spa experiences we’ve ever had, and the perfect reminder that slowing down is productive too. A lot of girls leave saying they genuinely can’t remember the last time they treated themselves like that.

Every time we come back here, our expectations are blown away all over again. Just when you think you’ve seen it all, this coastal town shows you another side of itself. Another little spot. Another experience. Another surprise.

That’s the magic of Morocco’s coast. Everyone takes something different home. And that’s exactly why we truly believe Morocco is for every type of girl <3
