Privacy Policy, Dream Life Getaway

Dream Life Getaway ("DLG", "we", "us") organises group trips for women. We are registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 95199950. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what your rights are. Questions? Email us at info@dreamlifegetaway.com.

What we collect and why

When you apply for a trip. Through our application form we collect your name, email address, phone number, age, Instagram username, country of residence, first language, the destinations and dates you are interested in, and how you heard about us. We use this to handle your application: to contact you, plan your call with one of our hosts, and match you with the right trip and group. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. We also store how you reached our site (for example, through an ad or a search engine) to understand which of our marketing works; the legal basis is our legitimate interest in measuring our own marketing.

When you book. We additionally process your booking details, payments, dietary wishes, relevant medical information you choose to share, and your travel details. We use these to perform the travel contract. Payment details are handled by our payment providers; we never store your full card details ourselves.

When you have travelled with us. We may email past guests a few times a year about new dates and similar trips. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping in touch with our own customers. Every email contains an unsubscribe link, and one click stops all marketing email.

When you tick the email updates box. If you opt in to trip updates on our application form, we email you about new dates, open spots and DLG news, at most once or twice a month. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time via the unsubscribe link in every email.

Who we share data with

We use a small number of service providers to run DLG: Wix (website, forms and payments), Brevo (email), Google Workspace (email and planning), Supabase and Vercel (our internal booking administration), Bookinglayer (booking administration) and Meta (advertising measurement via the Meta pixel; see our Cookie Policy). These providers process data on our behalf under data processing agreements. Where a provider stores data outside the European Economic Area, this happens under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. We never sell your data.

Within a trip, we share practical details (such as dietary wishes you gave us) with the local hosts and partners who need them to run your trip safely.

How long we keep your data

Applications that do not lead to a booking: up to 2 years after our last contact, so we can help you when you come back later. Booking and invoice data: 7 years, as required by Dutch tax law. Email marketing data: until you unsubscribe or 2 years after your last interaction. Photos from trips are only used in our marketing with the consent of the women in them.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to see the data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to its use, or to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email info@dreamlifegetaway.com and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl), but we would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.
